Estimate your daily calorie needs with our Advanced Calorie Calculator. Supports metric & imperial units, gives maintenance levels and easy gain/loss guidelines.

Why Guess Your Calories When You Can Crunch Them?

You've seen those "eat less, move more" posters everywhere. But how much less? And how much more? The problem is, no two bodies are alike and guesswork equals frustration (and spilled kale smoothies). That's why our Advanced Calorie Calculator is here: to clarify confusion.

Metric, Imperial - We Speak Both Fluently

Do you weigh yourself in kilos-and-centimetres, or pounds-and-inches? Doesn't matter. In whatever units you take your measurements (cm and kg or ft/in and lb), you can plug in your numbers here in whatever system you prefer. No converting needed (though we won't judge if you secretly have a love for them).

What it Tells You

After you plug in your gender, age, height, weight, and activity level, the app calculates a BMR (hello there, Mifflin-St Jeor) and multiplies by your lifestyle factor. Ta-da, you get your maintenance calories. But don't lasso yourself to the fence quite yet, partner: it also gives you daily targets for gaining or losing around 0.5 kg per week. (Yes, we're hopeful but realistic.)

Side note: in order to lose 0.5 kg you pretty much need a 500 kcal/day deficit, and to gain a 500 kcal surplus. (Your body might protest, but that's the rule of thumb.)

Daily Calorie Needs Estimator

Enter your details and choose metric or imperial units. It estimates your maintenance calories and gives guidelines for gaining or losing weight.

Conclusion & Final Word

And there you have it, no wishy-washy guessing game, no calorie-counting shame circle, just a smart estimate tailored to you. Utilize the calculator with sincerity (don't round out your stats just to get a nicer number).

Did you notice anything odd in the findings? Questions, comments, or a story of your most embarrassing diet test? Leave it here, we love the melodrama (and the learning). And don't worry, your secret snack ways are safe with us.
